A baby basket, or cradle, attributed by the Cleveland Museum of Art to a Salish maker of the Fraser River, British Columbia, late nineteenth century. Coiled basketry cradles carried infants safely while mothers worked, and the form was made by both Interior Salish and neighbouring Fraser River Salish communities. The museum records it simply as Salish, Fraser River, so the precise nation of the maker is not documented.
