A handmade Interior Salish fishing creel in the collection of the UBC Museum of Anthropology, Vancouver, catalogue number D1.428. Baskets like this served the fisheries of the interior plateau, where salmon taken from the Fraser and Thompson rivers were a foundation of Interior Salish life. The museum records the piece as Interior Salish without naming the maker.
