Fishermen on Okanagan Lake photographed in 1908 by John Pease Babcock for a report on British Columbia fisheries. Okanagan Lake lies in the territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) Nation, an Interior Salish people neighbouring the Secwepemc to the south. The photograph documents Syilx fishing practice at the start of the twentieth century, not Secwepemc fishing, and is included here as a related Interior Salish tradition.
