Members of a Nlaka'pamux (Thompson) community photographed in 1914 by James Teit, the Spences Bridge ethnographer who married into the community and worked for decades as a recorder, translator and political ally of the Interior Salish nations. Teit helped Interior chiefs, including Secwepemc leaders, bring their land rights declarations to Ottawa. The photograph is held by the Canadian Museum of History.
